Figure with Sword and Cross. At the Battle of Krtsanisi in 1795 the 300 Aragvians fought to the last man defending Tbilisi — their sacrifice is still remembered every year. A dramatic relief of riders and warriors, full of movement, on one of the pillars. Begun in the last years of the Soviet era, the memorial was raised slowly over many years — some details are still unfinished, which only adds to its aura.
