Chronicle of Georgia: Radiant Figure in a Sunburst

Radiant Figure in a Sunburst. The sacred story on the upper tiers moves toward the Resurrection — the feast of Easter, Aghdgoma, is the most loved holiday of the Georgian year. A sacred scene from the memorial, with figures in long robes rendered in deep bronze relief. The five-cross flag of Georgia, a medieval symbol revived as the state flag in 2004, carries the same Christian heritage shown on the upper tiers.
