Chronicle of Georgia: Relief of a Walled City Above the Reservoir
Relief of a Walled City Above the Reservoir. The capital’s name comes from the Georgian word “tbili”, warm — a memory of the sulphur springs that still bathe the old town. A relief with churches and buildings, carved into the bronze of a pillar. Churches, fortresses and towers appear in the reliefs — a nod to the builders who left more than ten thousand historic monuments across Georgia.
