Chronicle of Georgia: Ruins and Architecture Relief
Ruins and Architecture Relief. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta, rebuilt in the 11th century, is said to keep the robe of Christ — for Georgians it is the “Life-Giving Pillar” of the church. A relief with churches and buildings, carved into the bronze of a pillar. In the 4th century Saint Nino brought Christianity to Kartli, carrying a cross of grapevine bound with her own hair — still the symbol of Georgian faith.
