Chronicle of Georgia: Scholar Among Books and Buildings
Scholar Among Books and Buildings. The memorial’s name echoes Kartlis Tskhovreba, “The Life of Kartli” — the medieval collection of Georgian chronicles that recorded the country’s story for centuries. A relief of books, scrolls and the people who wrote them, seen up close on a pillar. Alongside kings and saints the Chronicle honours ordinary heroes — warriors, poets and builders who carried the country through hard centuries.
