Arcaded Entrance Porch. Inside the arcaded porch, carved columns and stone arches frame the old wooden doors and a bright view outside. Inside, under the dome, stands the great octagonal stone base that, by tradition, once held Saint Nino’s wooden cross. Old Georgian inscriptions in the Asomtavruli script on the facades name the church’s builders and patrons, among them Stepanoz, Demetre and Adarnase.
