High Drone Orbit from the South above the Stairway and Terraces. A higher drone orbit about 27 m above the hilltop, looking at the church from the south with both river valleys around it. The cross on the hill was believed to work miracles, and pilgrims from across the Caucasus climbed here to pray long before the stone church existed. On a clear day the panorama takes in Mtskheta, both river valleys and the hills toward the Caucasus — one of the finest viewpoints in Georgia.
