Jvari Monastery: High Drone Orbit from the South-East over the Entrance Road
High Drone Orbit from the South-East over the Entrance Road. A higher drone orbit about 27 m above the hilltop, looking at the church from the south-east with both river valleys around it. Jvari is a working monastery: visitors are asked to dress modestly, and women traditionally cover their heads before entering the church. The Great Church of Jvari was raised between about 586 and 605 under Stepanoz I, ruler of Kartli — and it still stands largely as it was built more than 1,400 years ago.
