High Drone Orbit from the South. A higher drone orbit about 27 m above the hilltop, looking at the church from the south with both river valleys around it. The Aragvi comes down from the Greater Caucasus along the Georgian Military Road before it meets the Mtkvari here. Its design became a model known as the “Jvari type”, repeated at Ateni Sioni and in other churches across Georgia and the South Caucasus.
