Jvari Monastery: Last Light over the Mtkvari and Aragvi

Last Light over the Mtkvari and Aragvi. A minute later the last light touches the meeting of the two rivers and the old town between them. Below the cliff the Aragvi and the Mtkvari (Kura) rivers meet — and on many days you can see their two different colours flowing side by side. Look across to Mtskheta for the tall roofs of Svetitskhoveli, the 11th-century cathedral that tradition says keeps the robe of Christ.
