Jvari Monastery: Low Drone Orbit from the South-West

Low Drone Orbit from the South-West. A low drone pass about 13 m above the hilltop, circling the church from the south-west. The church stands right at the edge of a rocky cliff, its east end rising almost straight out of the rock above the valley. Mikhail Lermontov opened his poem “Mtsyri” (1839) with this very landscape: the place where the Aragvi and the Kura embrace below an old monastery.
