Timotesubani Monastery: Dome and Gorge at Roof Height

At the height of the dome the whole site unfolds: the drum with its ceramic crosses, the courtyard, the lawns and the road winding down the gorge. The church is about 28 metres tall to the top of its cross, yet from up here the forested mountains still dwarf it.
